REMEMBER- Assembly will be in the reverse order of takedown, so pay attention and keep things arranged in the order they were removed.
1. Remove the base of your sidewinder. This involves removing 6 screws. Yes, I said *6*... There are two hidden under the anti-skid pads in the front corners (NOT the two on the rounded back, under the four base buttons) and one on the back side hidden under the silver M$ sticker.
2. Remove the 2 front anti-skid pads carefully, with a small flat tool (like a screwdriver... be very careful, these need to stick back on!) And stick the pads to some wax paper/plastic...
... then cut or punch a hole in the silver sticker to remove the 3rd hidden screw.
Once the screws are removed, use something flat and thin (like a butter knife) to separate the base from the top shell. Be careful and take your time, though it isn't held together by much. Do this with the bottom facing up, or the metal weights in the base could fall out and cause some damage. If it seems to stick on something, be sure the front base switch is in the middle, between the "I" and "II" position.
